Bangalow Chess Masters 2026

The Bangalow Chess Masters is our annual invitation-only championship, where each monthly winner from the regular Bangalow Chess Tournament earns a place to compete for the ultimate title of “Bangalow Chess Master of the Year” This special night brings together the region’s best players to battle it out for cash prizes, Stone & Wood merch, and local bragging rights.

1. How to Qualify

• Players qualify by winning a monthly Bangalow Chess Tournament during the year.
• One Masters slot per player per year: Once you win a month, you’ve earned your seat. If you win again, your extra slot automatically passes to the next best-performing player that month.
• If a qualified player cannot attend, their slot is offered to the next top scorer or a wildcard, at the discretion of the Tournament Director.
• A full roster aims for 12 players, one for each month.

2. Masters 2026 - Event Dates
